Safe-Guard Fenbendazole Horse & Cattle Dewormer Paste, 92g 10% Fenbendazole Safe-Guard® Fenbendazole Paste 10% is a broad-spectrum, apple-cinnamon flavored dewormer formulated for use in both horses and cattle. The palatable paste ensures easy dosing with less waste, while delivering reliable control of a wide range of internal parasites. Each 92 g syringe treats up to 4,000 lb of body weight , making it a cost-effective choice for multiple animals, large horses, or herd deworming programs. Features: Active ingredient: Fenbendazole 10% (100 mg/g) Broad-spectrum parasite control: Effective against strongyles, pinworms, ascarids, encysted cyathostome larvae in horses, and lungworms, stomach worms, and intestinal worms in cattle. Apple-cinnamon flavor: Highly palatable to ensure easier dosing and reduced waste. Large-capacity syringe: One tube treats up to 4,000 lb of body weight. For Horses: Treats and controls large strongyles ( Strongylus edentatus, S. equinus, S. vulgaris ), small strongyles (including encysted larvae), pinworms ( Oxyuris equi ), ascarids ( Parascaris equorum ), and arteritis caused by 4th stage larvae of Strongylus vulgaris . Safe for oral use in all horses, foals, and ponies. Standard dose: 2.3 mg/lb (5 mg/kg); each syringe mark treats 250 lb body weight. Foals & weanlings (<18 months, ascarid risk): 4.6 mg/lb (10 mg/kg); 2 syringe marks per 250 lb body weight. Encysted cyathostome & advanced strongyle control: 4.6 mg/lb (10 mg/kg) daily for 5 consecutive days. Safe for all horses: Including foals, ponies, and pregnant mares when used as directed. For Beef & Dairy Cattle: Controls lungworms ( Dictyocaulus viviparus ), stomach worms ( Ostertagia, Haemonchus, Trichostrongylus spp.), and intestinal worms ( Bunostomum, Cooperia, Nematodirus, Trichostrongylus, Oesophagostomum spp.). Dose: 2.3 mg/lb (5 mg/kg); 11.5 g paste per 500 lb body weight. Each syringe treats up to 4,000 lb body weight. Safe for breeding stock, pregnant cows, and lactating dairy cattle. Precautions: For animal use only. Do not use in humans. Not for use in horses intended for human consumption. Withdrawal periods apply for cattle: milk must not be used for human consumption during treatment and for 96 hours after the last dose; cattle must not be slaughtered for human consumption within 8 days of last treatment. Always dose according to current body weight. Underdosing may lead to ineffective treatment and parasite resistance. Consult a veterinarian for parasite management programs.
