Each mL contains 50 mg of tylosin activity in a formulation of 50% propylene glycol, 4% benzyl alcohol, and water for injection. Administered intramuscularly, Tylan 50 provides effective treatment while maintaining animal health and productivity. Key Uses: For Beef Cattle and Non-lactating Dairy Cattle: Pneumonia Shipping fever Diphtheria Foot rot For Swine: Pneumonia Mycoplasmal arthritis Dysentery Erysipelas Administration & Dosage: For Beef Cattle and Non-lactating Dairy Cattle: Administer intramuscularly at 8 mg per pound of body weight once daily (1 mL per 6.25 lbs). Continue treatment for 24 hours after symptoms subside, not exceeding 5 days. Do not inject more than 10 mL per site. Recommended for calves under 200 pounds. For Swine: Administer intramuscularly at 4 mg per pound of body weight twice daily (1 mL per 12.5 lbs). Continue treatment for 24 hours after symptoms subside, not exceeding 3 days. Do not inject more than 5 mL per site. For pigs under 6.25 lbs, use a syringe capable of delivering accurate doses (e.g., 0.1 mL). Warnings: For Beef Cattle and Non-lactating Dairy Cattle: Discontinue use 21 days before slaughter. Do not use in lactating dairy cattle or calves processed for veal. For Swine: Discontinue use 14 days before slaughter. Overdosage in piglets can cause adverse reactions, including shock or death.
