Norocillin is commonly used to treat bacterial pneumonia (shipping fever), erysipelas, and strangles. Indications: Cattle \u0026amp; Sheep: Bacterial pneumonia (shipping fever) caused by Pasteurella multocida Swine: Erysipelas caused by Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae Horses: Strangles caused by Streptococcus equi Dosage \u0026amp; Administration: Administer intramuscularly at a dosage of 1 mL per 100 lbs of body weight (3,000 units\/lb) Warm vial to room temperature and shake well before use Do not exceed 10 mL per injection site; rotate sites with each treatment Continue daily treatment until recovery is evident and for at least one day after symptoms subside (typically 2–3 days) Treatment duration should not exceed 4 consecutive days Active Ingredient: Penicillin G as Procaine – 300,000 units per mL Residue Warnings: Do not exceed 3,000 units per pound of body weight, 4 days of treatment, or 10 mL per injection site. Doing so may extend withdrawal periods.
